You know, as clunky as the cast transition has been in places, I have to credit the writers for taking the time to let the audience get to know Adam, Rocky, and Aisha instead of barreling straight into the transfer. It’s something we won’t always see in these situations, and I felt it was only fair to give them a shout-out for it.
For the first time ever, we open an episode in Stone Canyon, where a local triathlon is about to begin. The new trio will be competing, of course, and Tommy and Billy thoughtfully take their extra clothes from them as they prepare for the swimming portion.

I truly have almost no complaints about the last episode. The introductions of the Stone Canyon trio showed them to be competent and friendly with the Rangers, the editing/body doubles of the missing Rangers weren’t as bad as they could have been (and will be), and going an entire episode without morphing or Zords really helped build the tension and story.
