The updated theme song looks DOPE. There’s a lot of focus on Tommy, but given this version has maybe ten episodes before it has to change again, I have to give it a break on that. Plus, his return was a huge deal.

Mighty Morphin #2.18 – White Light: Part 2

Somehow, neither Alpha nor Zordon hear Billy espousing, “This is incredible!” despite his being only about twenty feet above them.

Instead of bothering to check with the Rangers’ leader and tech support, Billy decides he needs to head back to the others to let them know what’s going on (to be fair, it’s not like they’ve been forthright about this whole thing, so it makes sense that Billy’s hesitant to confront them about it).

We open with Bulk (still sporting the sling bag from last episode) and Skull bursting into the Juice Bar and demanding to know why their to-go sandwiches aren’t ready yet, snapping irritably at whoever is tending bar today.

We open at the Juice Bar, where Billy is reflecting on how quiet things are without Tommy around as Kimberly gazes into a giant-ass mirror she says Tommy won for her at a carnival.

So this is already the best title ever.

We open with Richie tending bar at the Juice Bar, a plot element I’m still amazed exists given the establishment’s complete lack of staffing thus far in the show. Speaking of characters who exist solely to be red herrings, Zack’s cousin Curtis meets up with him and Trini and asks if they’re coming to the jazz concert tomorrow, where he’ll be playing a solo.
