Power Rangers In Order

Leo and Damon are fleeing for their lives on Captain Mutiny’s planet with no explanation of how they got there, but I’ll take the fun opening any day. They’re quickly captured and chained up by Barbarax and Deviot, who argue about whether or not they should wait for Captain Mutiny before killing them.

We flash back to the end of last episode, so presumably the monster that popped out of the box is our titular Grunchor. The Rangers explain the situation to Mike and Captain Stanton, which is where we get our “I never should have trusted that Captain Mutiny” line from the preview.

We get a little exposition about the Lost Galaxy from Trakeena and her crew, who are getting sucked in by Terra Venture’s gravity. It’s essentially the Bermuda Triangle of space — people go in, but no one comes out.

I love that we’re only getting a reason for the season’s name 35 episodes in.

Karone bursts in on Damon while he’s working, urging him to come with her. It’s clear by her tone that it’s not a Ranger emergency, so he tries to tell her to wait, but she drags him away to the cafe that Bulk and Skull work at (not that we’ll actually see them).

The episode actually starts with Trakeena, but that’s really just to introduce her new monster Magnetox, so we’ll skim right through that. Magnetox proves his strength by turning some Stingwingers into bugs (I assumed his powers would be magnet-based, but clearly that would be too logical for this show), Trakeena is impressed, and so on.

We follow the Pink Quasar Saber’s path to a distant planet, where a scavenger plucks it from the ground with delight.

The Galaxy Rangers introduce the Space Rangers to their Galactabeasts. Cassie in particular takes a liking to the Wildcat Galactabeast, hopping right on and dancing on her head. A movement from the Wildcat knocks her off, but Cassie hops right back on her feet, laughing.
