In Space #40 – The Impenetrable Web
We open on the Astro Megaship, where Alpha and DECA are playing three-dimensional chess in a very cute nod to Star Trek. It’s a truly delightful scene in which Alpha tricks DECA into making the wrong move and Andros uses his hard-earned knowledge of Earth slang to tell DECA that the word she was lookingContinue reading “In Space #40 – The Impenetrable Web”
In Space #39 – Ghosts in the Machine
We open with the Rangers riding their Galaxy Gliders toward a cruise ship, where Alpha says the missing civilians’ energy readings say they are. But the ship is empty — not just of the captured civilians, but of any life whatsoever.
In Space #38 – Mission to Secret City
We open with the Rangers picking up on a bizarre energy sequence in Angel Grove’s warehouse district. They head down to check it out, but they can’t see anything out of the ordinary.
In Space #37 – Andros and the Stowaway
We open on another planet, where Andros is doing a general search for Zordon. He stumbles upon an alien baby hiding in the trees.
In Space #36 – The Enemy Within
We open with the Rangers searching for the Mega Voyager. Carlos manages to track the vortex it disappeared into, and the Rangers follow the trail.
In Space #35 – Silence is Golden
We open with Andros crossing Psycho Blue off of the poster the Rangers have made of all the Psychos, which I’m 100% obsessed with.
In Space #34 – Five of a Kind
We open with Dark Specter telling Astronema the source of his power drain is on Earth. Lying through her teeth, she promises to send her armies to put a stop to it.
In Space #33 – A Rift in the Rangers
We open on the Astro Megaship, where Cassie is frantically sweeping the kitchen while Andros and Ashley are eating. After Andros leaves, Ashley has the audacity to ask Cassie if she’s cleaned her sheets yet, and Cassie snaps back that she’s been a little busy.
In Space #32 – Carlos on Call
We open at the Surf Spot, where a little girl is watching Carlos play an arcade game. He turns out to know her mom, who introduces him: “Carlos was one of my best students at Angel Grove High.”
