What’s that, you say? A Maya-centric episode? STRAP IN!

We finally pick up on the Trakeena storyline as Deviot tells Scorpius he was unable to find any trace of her. He suggests that perhaps she doesn’t want to be found, but Scorpius snaps that it’s her destiny to rule the universe. Deviot promises to keep looking, but secretly vows that she’ll stay lost forever.

We open with Scorpius making Deviot his new general, so I guess last episode’s display was enough after all. Deviot calls a monster named Hardtochoke (because he has skin like an artichoke) and gives him the remote that controls the Zords with the order to take out the Rangers for good.

This is our first multiparter in a WHILE!

We open on Terra Venture, where the GSA has just intercepted a distress signal from an alien ship with inhabitants that conveniently speak English. Kai is tasked with tracking the signal as Stanton brings Mike with him to confer with higher-ups.

We open with Trakeena asking her mirror who the fairest one of all is. When a monster named Crumummy answers that she’s equally as beautiful as the girls on Terra Venture, she’s furious at the comparison and orders him to steal the beauty of all the women on the colony.

We open back in the Rangers’ quarters, where Leo delivers a toast to Mike’s survival. Mike replies that he never would have made it if not for the Magna Defender, and we get a flashback of most of Magsy’s arc, including…

We open with the Scorpion Stinger in a tailspin. Trakeena frantically reports to her father that they’re leaking fuel and Scorpius orders that all power be cut.

We open with an attempted jailbreak, as new characters called the Shark Brothers arrive at Treacheron’s cell with the news that Trakeena is the one who betrayed him.
