The updated theme song looks DOPE. There’s a lot of focus on Tommy, but given this version has maybe ten episodes before it has to change again, I have to give it a break on that. Plus, his return was a huge deal.

Mighty Morphin #2.18 – White Light: Part 2
Somehow, neither Alpha nor Zordon hear Billy espousing, “This is incredible!” despite his being only about twenty feet above them. Instead of bothering to check with the Rangers’ leader and tech support, Billy decides he needs to head back to the others to let them know what’s going on (to be fair, it’s not likeContinue reading “Mighty Morphin #2.18 – White Light: Part 2”
Mighty Morphin #2.17 – White Light: Part 1
*pterodactyl screech* We open with Bulk (still sporting the sling bag from last episode) and Skull bursting into the Juice Bar and demanding to know why their to-go sandwiches aren’t ready yet, snapping irritably at whoever is tending bar today.
Mighty Morphin #2.16 – Beauty and the Beast
We open at the Juice Bar, where Billy is reflecting on how quiet things are without Tommy around as Kimberly gazes into a giant-ass mirror she says Tommy won for her at a carnival.
Mighty Morphin #2.15 – Orchestral Maneuvers in the Park
So this is already the best title ever. We open with Richie tending bar at the Juice Bar, a plot element I’m still amazed exists given the establishment’s complete lack of staffing thus far in the show. Speaking of characters who exist solely to be red herrings, Zack’s cousin Curtis meets up with him andContinue reading “Mighty Morphin #2.15 – Orchestral Maneuvers in the Park”
Mighty Morphin #2.14 – Missing Green
You and me both.
Mighty Morphin #2.13 – Green No More: Part 2
We pick back up with Tommy, who is still hiding from Turban Shell behind the rock outcrop. He’s heard about all of the monster’s boasting he can take, and he launches himself at it and knocks it over with a kick.
Mighty Morphin #2.12 – Green No More: Part 1
Yep, you read that right.
Mighty Morphin #2.11 – The Song of Guitardo
We start with Kimberly playing the guitar at the Juice Bar. Now, I knew Amy Jo Johnson was able to play, but it’s a nice note for Kimberly to continue evolving her past the mall girl stereotype she started as. Zack drops in to tell her how good she sounds, and she asks for hisContinue reading “Mighty Morphin #2.11 – The Song of Guitardo”
Mighty Morphin #2.10 – Welcome to Venus Island
Kimberly, Trini, and Tommy are at the beach with a young girl, who is telling them about her dream of a prince saving her as she builds a sand castle. Tommy jokes that the story sounds pretty sappy, but Kimberly elbows him and argues that it’s romantic. The girl runs off to grab some rocksContinue reading “Mighty Morphin #2.10 – Welcome to Venus Island”
