What kind of a title…? We open at a surfing competition in Angel Grove. Rocky is watching over the competition as a lifeguard, which is actually a pretty good continuity nod.

Am I EVER going to get the full theme song back??? Speaking of the theme song, there are some updates: Bulk, Skull, and Lt. Stone are no longer in police uniforms and we’ve added a few shots of the Gold Ranger.

Stupid, dumb, shortened version. We open with the Rangers already morphed and on a stealth mission, which is a twist on the usual formula. They’ve split into two teams tracking two different distress signals, with Tommy and Adam on one team and Tanya, Rocky, and Kat on the other.

Short versionnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.   We open in medias res, with Adam running through a forest fighting off a band of ninja.

Do you care whether the theme songs are shortened in any given episode? Probably not. Am I going to continue reporting on it? Absolutely. It’s a stupid shortened theme song this time.

Shortened theme song again. Ugh. We open with Bulk and Skull chasing an RC car for breaking the speed limit. Lt. Stone arrives with Cadet Connie Crendall, a new recruit to the force. Bulk falls in love immediately, and is entirely undeterred when Lt. Stone reveals she’s the captain’s daughter.
